The West Allis Arts Collective is rallying creatives and community members for their next meeting to discuss the arts scene in West Allis. With an eye on future events and projects, the gathering is set for August 12, 6 p.m., at Inspiration Studios, located at 1500 S. 73rd St.
Community involvement is key, thus, opportunities to volunteer for the Tiny Tins Project and the upcoming Art on the Plaza & Arts Showcase in September are open. Interested participants can help with tasks ranging from assembly to event support. According to the official announcement on the City of West Allis website, "Be part of shaping the future of the arts in West Allis! Learn about upcoming events, share your ideas, and find out how you can get involved in exciting community projects."
Reflecting on past successes, the Arts Collective thanked volunteers, performers, and supporters for the Make Music West Allis event. The recent affair boasted 63 performers, captivating audiences for 13 hours across 13 locations, all in collaboration with 5 neighborhood associations, demonstrating a commitment to fostering a dynamic community spirit through the arts.
Looking ahead, Art on the Plaza is slated for September 5, from 5-8 p.m. at City Hall, and the following day, Inspiration Studios will host the Arts Showcase from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. These events promise a showcase of local talent, including art, live music, theater, and food. According to the City of West Allis announcement, "Both events will feature local artists, live music and theater, food trucks, interactive art, and opportunities to help shape the arts future in West Allis."
