Wisconsin deer hunters will have an extra chance to hunt antlerless deer this season. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced that bonus antlerless harvest authorizations for the 2025 season will be available for purchase starting August 18.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources states that bonus authorizations will be available starting at 10 a.m. They cost $12 for state residents, $20 for non-residents, and $5 for youth aged 11 and under. Sales are limited to one per person per day and will continue until supplies run out or the season ends. Starting August 18, these permits will no longer be available.
“The first three days of bonus sales are management zone-specific, and the fourth day is open to all zones,” according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on their Facebook page. Sales will cover the Northern and Central Forest Zones on August 18, the Central Farmland Zone on August 19, the Southern Farmland Zone on August 20, and all zones on August 21. Deer management unit boundaries have changed this year due to updates in the Northern and Central Forest Zones. Hunters are advised by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources "to consult the new state unit maps before making any purchases" to get authorizations for the correct zones.
