Worthdale Community Center is set to offer a series of card game sessions for the senior members of the community. As reported by the City of Raleigh, every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., individuals aged 55 and older can partake in classic card games like Bridge, Poker, and Spades free of cost. Amid a relaxed atmosphere, both seasoned players and novices are invited to gather, engage, and indulge in an array of card games while perhaps learning some new ones.
The community center promises an environment conducive to both learning and displaying one's card-playing prowess, with plenty of extra decks and space, ensuring that everyone from beginners to skilled enthusiasts can find joy and company in these timeless games. The initiative aims to provide a welcoming group dynamic where camaraderie can flourish over shuffled decks and dealt hands, with the sessions open to anyone within the age bracket looking to shuffle and deal into a community setting.
