
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office has released its arrest report for the week ending August 18th, 2025, documenting a surge in arrests related to drug offenses, driving under the influence, and theft. The report includes multiple instances of 5th Degree Controlled Substance charges, as well as several DWI arrests ranging from 2nd to 4th degree. Across the county, law enforcement had to simultaneously handle an array of traffic-related incidents. They reported a total of "32 Property Damage Accidents, 6 Personal Injury Accidents, 6 Hit and Run Accidents, and 6 Car Deer Accidents." Apart from dealing with these accidents, the officers were kept busy trying to process numerous instances of driving infractions, ultimately amounting to 123 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations. In addition to the 11 DWI cases, there were also 11 arrests made for underage consumption.
Some notable arrests throughout the week included Kierstin Roselee Countryman of Buffalo on charges of Theft, Eric Lovall Hines of Mankato for Predatory Offender Registration violations and stalking, and Bhisma Singh of Dayton on a charge of 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. The continuous cycle of arrests also featured Breanna Cathrine Morris of Elk River and Mercedes Antoinette Floyd of St. Louis, MO, both apprehended on charges of 5th Degree Controlled Substance Possession and Theft, respectively.
Amid concerns about drug-related crimes in the community, Wright County has seen a persistent fight to keep the streets safe. Authorities are working tirelessly to respond to substance abuse cases, highlighted last week by the arrest of Bruce Edward Richardson of Anoka, who faces charges of 5th Degree Controlled Substance and a Wright County warrant for 1st Degree Drug Sale. Drug offenses did not only singularly occur, as some individuals, such as John Robert Thole of Clearwater, were arrested on DWI charges while also facing allegations of drug possession.
