The Anoka County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) invited the community to its Open House, a family-friendly event filled with interactive activities and educational displays. According to a social media post from the Coon Rapids Police Department, the Open House took place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM, offering a range of exhibits and demonstrations from various law enforcement and public safety officials.

At the event located at 13301 Hanson Blvd NW in Andover, MN, attendees could interact with the Sheriff's Office displays, which featured a S.W.A.T. team, Marine Unit complete with dive pool demonstrations, and a new and expanded K-9 demonstration. Alongside these attractions, the public had the opportunity to see recreation vehicles, learn about criminal investigations, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and explore the forensic lab. The post highlighted that children in need could also receive free life jackets from the Marine Unit. All these activities were designed to give the community a closer look at the inner workings of local law enforcement.

Aside from the Sheriff's Office displays, the Open House showcased a broad array of other organizations, each providing its own unique contributions to the event. Visiting displays included the Life Link III Helicopter and MN State Patrol Helicopter, given that the weather allowed, as well as local fire departments, police departments from surrounding areas, emergency medical services, and more. Participation extended to community partners and resource tables, ensuring a comprehensive representation of the county’s public safety network.

New to this year's Open House, as mentioned by the Coon Rapids Police Department post, was the inclusion of the Anoka County Emergency Communications' new dispatch building. Open to guests from 4 PM to 6:30 PM, and located just a short walk from the sheriff's office, it offered an in-depth glimpse into the critical operations behind emergency response. Additionally, food trucks were available on-site to cater to those seeking refreshments amidst the myriad of activities.

Parking arrangements were made accessible at the Anoka Archery Center and the Anoka County plow lot on 133rd Ave NW, with both locations within walking distance of the event. Shuttles were also available for those in need of assistance, making sure that accessibility was a priority so that all community members could partake in the educational experience.
