The city of Boston is gearing up for the fourth iteration of the Fall-o-Ween Children's Festival, set to enchant the young and young-at-heart on the Boston Common Parade Ground. The event, taking place on October 17 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., is the brainchild of Mayor Michelle Wu and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.

Presented in partnership with the Skating Club of Boston, and featuring key sponsors like Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and HP Hood LLC, the festival promises a family-friendly experience. According to an announcement made on the city's official website, additional support comes from New England Dairy Council and Polar Beverages, among others. This year's lineup includes an assortment of activities, ranging from a Fun House Maze, to field games, to a trackless train.

Costumes are not just welcome but encouraged, as attendees delve into the fall festive atmosphere filled with live performances. Artists such as Matt Heaton and Mike Bent's AbraKidabra are slated to provide entertainment alongside ventriloquist Kevin Driscoll. The event is also home to Boston Music Project's instrument petting zoo, adding a harmonious layer to the festival's offerings.

Indulgence will be part of the experience, with frozen treats courtesy of HP Hood, and sparkling water on hand from Polar Beverages. For dairy lovers, the New England Dairy’s Mobile Dairy Bar will be on site with samples, whereas Flour Bakery + Cafe offers mini cookies to top off the smorgasbord of treats. Families will not only get to participate in arts and crafts but can expect giveaways from the likes of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.

For information seekers and the actively engaged, there will be activities hosted by the Boston Park Rangers, and various outreach efforts by the Boston Public Library, Friends of the Public Garden, and more. The Northeastern University's Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health will also have four labs participating in the day's events.
