In a splash of regional pride, Broomfield's Water Utilities staff recently clinched the title of "best-tasting water" in the Rocky Mountain region. Triumphing at the 17th Annual Rocky Mountain Water Taste Test Competition, their water sample was judged best among entries from Wyoming, New Mexico, and Colorado. The rigorous judging involved evaluations on several sensory levels: taste, appearance, smell, and overall impression.
This accolade, celebrated by Broomfield's Water Utilities, not only highlights the staff's commitment to quality but also propels them into the national spotlight. The victory begs the question: what does it really take for water to rise above the rest? According to the City and County of Broomfield, success lies in the nuance of flavor, the clarity of the liquid, and the subtleties of an aroma that should speak more of mountain springs than chlorinated pools.
It's no small feat to stand out in a place where the water, by default, seems to carry the taste of the earth it flows through. As the regional winner, Broomfield now has the opportunity to showcase their H2O on a national stage, at the prestigious American Water Works Association's convention in Washington, D.C., where it will compete for the national "best-tasting water" title.
