
Two brothers have pleaded guilty in connection with the murder of Wake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Ned Byrd.
As per the FBI - Charlotte's Facebook post, Alder Marin-Sotelo pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and received a life sentence without the possibility of parole. Arturo Marin-Sotelo pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
The FBI Raleigh Durham Safe Streets Task Force assisted in the case, including locating Alder Marin-Sotelo after he fled to Mexico.
Both sentences have been issued following the justice system’s ruling.
