Amid the routine of a Concord downtown patrol, two Cabarrus County deputies found themselves at the helm of a life-saving intervention, as reported on the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. Deputies Jackson Aldridge and Treavor Boan's typical day turned critical when a nearby sound of glass breaking commanded their attention and prompted immediate action.
On Wednesday, August 13, deputies on patrol responded to a workplace incident where a sheet of storefront window glass shattered and caused a severe injury. According to officials, the injured man’s coworker attempted to control the bleeding before deputies arrived and provided assistance.
Deputy Aldridge applied a tourniquet while Deputy Boan called for EMS after a man was injured by broken glass. According to a statement on the department’s social media, their quick response and teamwork were critical in saving the man’s life.
Following the deputies’ response to a workplace injury, the man was treated and later discharged from the hospital. The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office's post
released a statement saying, “We are incredibly proud of Deputies Aldridge and Boan for their quick thinking and selfless actions, which ensured a citizen in need could return home safely.”
Officials reported that law enforcement officers responded to the incident in Concord and provided assistance at the scene. Authorities emphasized the importance of their quick response in ensuring the safety of the individuals involved.
