Carver County Parks is aiming to provide a bullseye opportunity for homeschooled kids between the ages of 10 and 14 to get a hands-on introduction to archery. On September 8, a specially designed class will equip young learners with fundamental archery skills such as commands, signals, and shooting techniques. From the correct stance to the final release of the arrow, all stages of archery will be covered under the supervision of trained instructors.
The one-and-a-half-hour session not only puts emphasis on hitting the target but also makes room for creative games, which are aimed at boosting the participants' skills and self-confidence. In an announcement detailed by the Carver County Parks social media page, there will be no need for students to bring their own equipment, as it is all included in the $16 fee.
The class is scheduled to take place at the Beachside Shelter within the Lake Waconia Regional Park on Monday, September 8, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Given the growing popularity of archery and homeschooling, this program offers a physically engaging learning experience that deviates from the traditional classroom setting and encourages outdoor activity.
Registration is currently open, and those interested are urged to act swiftly as slots are limited. Parents can register their kids by visiting the Carver County Parks' website or directly through the link provided in their post. Don't miss this chance to let your kids take they're best shot in an environment that's fun, safe, and guided by experts in the field.
