A Charlotte massage therapist has been charged with felony secret peeping after a client discovered a cellphone that was recording her undress at a local spa, court records showed. The incident occurred yesterday at Silent Moments Spa on Park Road, and the therapist, identified as Jarrod Crawford, 40, admitted to setting up the device, as mentioned by local law enforcement.

According to Queen City News, the client found the phone with a flashing light after she had completed her massage and was getting dressed. She used AirDrop to quickly send videos from the phone to her own device and then contacted the police. One video reportedly depicted her partially unclothed.

"It was a bad decision, was wrong," Crawford told Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police detectives, in a statement obtained by WCNC Charlotte. He was charged with secret peeping using a photographic imaging device and posted his $10,000 secured bond the following Tuesday morning.

During the investigation, Crawford provided the passcode to his cellphone, which allowed detectives to retrieve the incriminating videos. He had been employed at Silent Moments Spa since March 2024 and previously worked at several other massage businesses. He claimed to have been terminated from these jobs for reasons "unrelated to any sexual misconduct," despite one involving complaints from female clients who claimed he was touching them with his crotch, which Crawford disputes, claiming it was his lotion bag, according to an affidavit cited by WSOCTV.
