Austin's skies are about to get busier as Delta Air Lines ramps up connectivity through 2026. To mark their centennial anniversary, the airline is adding seven new nonstop routes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), according to a recent announcement from the City of Austin. By broadening their portfolio of destinations, passengers in Austin will gain direct access to a mix of domestic locales and vacation hotspots such as Cancun and Cabo.
The announcement specified launch dates for each of the new nonstop flights, starting with Palm Springs on November 8, 2025, and closely followed by Denver the next day. In what seems as a strategic maneuver for the holiday season, services to Cancun and Cabo are slated to begin on December 20, 2025. The other destinations, including Columbus, OH, and Kansas City, MO, are scheduled for a summer launch with a start date of June 7, 2026. Earlier this year, Delta laid down the groundwork by introducing seven other nonstops from AUS, touching down in cities like San Francisco, New Orleans, and Tampa.
In terms of passenger experience, Delta isn't just expanding its network, but also the comfort on board. Flights heading to Denver, Columbus, and Kansas City will be operated with Embraer 175 aircraft equipped with Delta First, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main.
