The City and County of Denver have welcomed fresh faces to the Denver Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board of Directors, alongside the return of two veteran members. According to the City and County of Denver, the new appointments expand the DDA Board to seven directors.

Mary Nguyen, a prominent figure in Denver’s culinary landscape, and Patty Salazar, a downtown resident with an expansive career in legislative and regulatory affairs, are the latest to join the board. Jay Lambiotte and Frank Cannon have received another term. In the statement, Mayor Mike Johnston praised the appointees for their "decades of expertise and passion for community and local business development."

In describing her appointment, Mary Nguyen told the City and County of Denver, "I’m honored to join the Downtown Development Authority Board and to have the opportunity to serve at such an important moment for our city." Nguyen's background includes the foundation of the Olive & Finch Collective, an enterprise encompassing restaurants and hospitality services, along with her commitment to mentoring and fostering inclusive community growth, as highlighted by her chairmanship of the Asian Chamber Foundation.

Patty Salazar brings over two decades of legislative and regulatory experience to the table. Salazar is known for her role as the executive director of the State of Colorado's Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), as noted by the City and County of Denver. "I’m honored to help shape the future of Downtown Denver—a cornerstone of our region’s economy and a dynamic community where people live, work, create, gather and celebrate," Salazar conveyed in her appointment statement.
