Citizens of Arapahoe County eager to glimpse the inner workings of local law enforcement have a unique opportunity this fall. The Sheriff's Office is hosting its Adult Citizens' Academy, opening its doors to the public for a series of educational sessions designed to provide a firsthand look at the day-to-day operations of its deputies. According to a social media post by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, the academy is set to run on Tuesdays from 6 pm to 9 pm, starting September 30, with additional full-day sessions on Saturdays, October 11 and October 25. The program boasts an array of activities from patrol operations and investigations to SWAT demonstrations and crime lab experiences.
The initiative, which is free of cost and includes food at each session, strives to foster a deeper connection between the community and law enforcement.
