Bibliophiles and casual readers alike in Englewood have reason to celebrate as the Englewood Public Library announces significant updates regarding accessibility and operating hours. Starting Monday, September 8, patrons will once again be able to access the library through its north entrance, a shift that comes ahead of a series of anticipated upgrades, per the City of Englewood.
Conversely, those accustomed to entering through the south may need to reroute their approach as the same date will also mark the commencement of its closure. This temporary inconvenience is designed to facilitate construction efforts poised to revitalize the space, and once the hammering and drilling yield to silence, both entrances are set to welcome the public, as reported by the City of Englewood.
But that's not the only news stirring the stacks. After a period of curtailed service, there's an additional update bound to elicit smiles: the library restores its weekend availability, broadening the community's access to its resources, services, and comforts. This change reestablishes the library not merely as a repository of knowledge, but as a vital communal haven where weekends can be wiled away amidst the quiet company of books.
