Cantu, who was hospitalized for two months after the 2022 shooting, has found himself arrested on allegations of assault, and now, a warrant has been issued for a violation of his probation connected to a 2024 felony evading case.
Arrest records, as stated by KENS 5, recount an incident from September 2024, where Cantu reportedly assaulted a young woman after a homecoming party, kicking and stomping on her, this array of violence left her "bloody" with a laceration to her head; surveillance video corroborated by witnesses lined up with the victims' grim tale, Cantu, driving a Dodge Charger and was subsequently identified by the victim herself.
The state has filed a motion to revoke Cantu's probation following this latest arrest, with Judge Stephanie R.
