The Town of Farragut has announced the commencement of its annual street resurfacing program slated to begin every Monday from Sept. 15, targeting several streets within its borders. According to details released by the town and published on the Town of Farragut’s official website, the program will cover roads including North Campbell Station Road and Brooklawn Street, although work on these particular streets will start later in the month during nighttime.
Residents and drivers who regularly traverse North Williamsburg Drive, South Williamsburg Drive, Georgetowne Drive, Boundary Lane, Crofton Lane, and a list of others are urged to heed specific instructions during the resurfacing period. Notably, parking on the affected roads will be prohibited from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting Sept. 15, until the completion of the process, and delays in accessing driveways could occur, though access will remain available throughout the duration of the road works, as reported by the Town of Farragut.
The public is being asked to drive slowly—5 mph—in areas that have just been treated, and to follow all signs and worker directions. Residents should avoid using sprinklers while road work is happening and trim any low tree branches ahead of time, as they could be damaged by paving equipment. For more information, residents can contact the Engineering Department at 865-966-7057, as per the Town of Farragut.
