Kyrsten Sinema, once a notable figure in Arizona's Democratic party and later an independent, has laid down roots in Cave Creek with the purchase of a $2 million estate, real estate records reveal. The former U.S. Senator made a significant shift from public office to property owner, securing a recently built 4,085-square-foot residence, complete with a plethora of amenities. Nestled on 1.3 acres of desert landscape, Sinema's new home does not fall under homeowners' association guidelines, as ABC 15 reported.
Adding to the property's appeal, the home boasts a custom pergola, a pool, and spa, alongside artificial turf, enhancing the leisure possibilities for the former senator. Possessing a four-car garage, the estate features five bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms, a distinct move towards a comfortable and private life after Sinema's departure from politics. According to public records noted by AZ Central, Sinema put $400,000 down on her new residential acquisition, signifying a substantial investment in her post-Senate chapter.
The house's interior complements its external allure, featuring a gourmet kitchen with white cabinets and granite countertops, alongside a primary suite replete with a gas fireplace and stand-alone tub. Julie Prendergast, of Call Realty Inc., served as the listing agent for the property. She disclosed that the home, originally listed for $2.049 million, sold swiftly after hitting the market — within 30 days of listing. And while the identity of her clients remains undisclosed, their attention to detail in amending the property this year has not gone unnoticed.
After leaving her Congressional seat in January, Sinema's career trajectory led her to Hogan Lovells, where she applied her public service experience to the realm of lobbying and law. Her historic role in transforming Arizona into a political battleground is a lingering echo of her influence, as Sinema was central to the wave of Democratic wins in 2018, before she shifted her affiliation to independent.
