As autumn ushers in cooler temperatures, the Frisco Fire Department is inviting locals to take part in the season's final Cycle the City ride. Set for Saturday, Sept. 13, cycling enthusiasts will have the chance to join city leaders and representatives from the Frisco Police Department, Frisco Fire Department, and Play Frisco - Parks & Recreation for a 7.4-mile journey through the scenic vistas of Frisco Commons Park, the Caddo Trail, and the community's network of parks and trails. The ride, which begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 11 a.m., promises a blend of exercise and engagement with Frisco's finest.
In a recent social media post on Facebook, the Frisco Fire Department shared the invitation, "Join us for the last Cycle the City ride of the year on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 8 to 11 a.m." With the ride taking off from Frisco Commons Park, participants will pedal south to take in the sights of the Caddo Trail before looping back to where they began. As they ride alongside city officials, cyclists of Frisco will find community spirit pedaling right there with them.
This cycling event is more than just a ride; it’s an opportunity to meet and interact with the city staff and emergency services personnel in a relaxed setting. It fosters a sense of community and allows residents to explore the city's outdoor amenities while promoting a healthy lifestyle. All are welcome to participate, and the event is geared to be both family-friendly and suitable for riders of all levels.
Those interested in joining the final Cycle the City ride are encouraged to bring their bikes and enthusiasm to Frisco Commons Park early Saturday morning. As the ride is scheduled to commence promptly at 8 a.m., riders looking to soak up every moment of camaraderie and the crisp morning air of the city trails should get there with time to spare.
