
The Germantown Police Department has released its weekly activity report, highlighting a series of crimes ranging from theft to narcotics possession. The report, published on September 8th, 2025, includes several arrests made for shoplifting and narcotics, as well as reports of identity thefts, threats, and a case of contractor fraud. The information, available on the City of Germantown’s official website, outlines incidents that occurred from August 29 to last Thursday.
On August 29, the GPD made two separate arrests for subjects taking merchandise from a business located on the 7600 block of West Farmington Boulevard. One arrest took place at 12:27 p.m., and the other at 8:31 p.m., as per the report. Over the weekend, a victim reported items stolen from their residence on Enclave Hollow Lane West, and a separate incident on Poplar Avenue involved three subjects in a shoplifting event. Further, a victim reported that their license plate was stolen from the vicinity of Dogwood Road.
The following Monday, authorities made two arrests for narcotics possession on South Germantown Road, and another arrest for assault on Travure Drive South. Tuesday’s incidents included more cases of shoplifting on Poplar Avenue, reports of identity theft, threatening calls, and property theft from a vehicle in Kimbrough Woods Place. That evening, officers apprehended an individual associated with a stolen vehicle on Farmington Boulevard.
Midweek activities last Wednesday resumed with additional reports of identity theft and a physical altercation at a residential area, both on Farnifold Drive. On Thursday, the GPD dealt with cases of shoplifting, threatening behavior, and one report of contractor fraud. The majority of these crimes resulted in arrests, with shoplifting being a recurring issue particularly along Poplar Avenue.
Apart from criminal activities, the report also notes that there were a total of 23 crashes during the week, although no further details were provided on these incidents.
