Michael Pratt, the owner of GirlsDoPorn.com and GirlsDoToys.com, was sentenced to 27 years in prison for sex trafficking offenses. Victims confronted Pratt during his sentencing, sharing harrowing accounts of their exploitation and messages of strength. Victims' statements highlighted personal transformations from suffering to reclaiming their power and identity, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The court heard that Pratt's sex trafficking enterprise deceived and exploited hundreds of young women, aged mainly between 18-21 years. Pratt was accused of using lies, coercion, and manipulation to produce pornographic content, later shared online, causing lasting trauma to the victims. One woman told the court, per the U.S. Attorney's Office, "Profit over people. Cruelty over humanity," reflecting the sentiment of many victims who condemned Pratt's actions.
In a detailed report by the Justice Department, Pratt and his co-conspirators were said to have used misleading ads, preying on vulnerable women with promises that their videos would remain offline. These practices led to Pratt's guilty plea on June 5 to Conspiracy to Commit Sex Trafficking by Force, Fraud and Coercion, and Committing Sex Trafficking by Force, Fraud and Coercion. The prosecution pointed to Pratt's leadership in the criminal activities and the duration of the conspiracy as the basis for his lengthy sentence.
Other defendants in connection with this case have received their sentences before Pratt. Ruben Andre Garcia, sentenced on June 14, 2021, received 20 years, while Theodore Gyi, sentenced on November 9, 2022, got four years. Matthew Wolfe was given 14 years as of March 20, 2024. Valorie Moser, the office manager, awaits her sentencing set for Friday.
The investigation and prosecution spanned years and involved the FBI’s San Diego Field Office, the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force, among other national and international agencies. It concluded with Pratt's arrest in Spain in December 2022 and his extradition in March 2024, ending his time on the FBI's Top Ten Most Wanted list.
