Hawai‘i Governor Josh Green traveled to New York yesterday to share the state’s initiatives and strategies at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting. According to an official announcement from the Governor's Office, Green will shine a spotlight on Hawai‘i's approach to bolstering community resilience.

On the Governor’s agenda is a session titled 'Investing in Community Resilience,' where he will outline Hawai‘i’s science-based approach to policy decisions, its aggressive climate action stance, housing challenges, and efforts to create equitable infrastructure. This Leaders Stage session is scheduled for today. In addition, Governor Green will participate in roundtables focused on the intersection of health and climate resilience.

With Governor Green bound for New York, the reins of Hawai‘i's state governance temporarily pass to Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke. Tasked with the acting governor's responsibilities, Luke will hold the fort from the afternoon of September 24 until Green's return on September 27.
