The Houston Police Department is actively seeking the assistance of the public to identify the suspect in an aggravated robbery of a convenience store. An unidentified man entered the store, located on the 6600 block of Bellfort in Houston, Texas, and resorted to violence when his demands were not immediately met.

At approximately 4:25 am, the male suspect, brandishing a small revolver, shot the store clerk in the leg after the clerk failed to quickly open the secure area. The clerk, wounded but alive, was then forced to surrender the cash from the register. The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene on foot. The description of the suspect, as reported by the official Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division, is a Black male, with a heavy build, between 5’10” and 6’2” in height, and weighing between 225 and 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie, blue pants with a white stripe, white shoes that might be Nike Jordan brand, and a black mask and gloves during the time of the robbery.

Officials are offering up to $5,000 as a cash reward for information that would lead to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect, stressing that tipsters can remain anonymous.
