In a recent development from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, 25-year-old Allen Washington faces a murder charge for the shooting death of 36-year-old Carlos Oyenarte. According to a JSO news release, the incident occurred last month at an apartment complex on Lake Shore Boulevard.
Officers from District 4 were to have swiftly responded to the scene on August 19, where they found Oyenarte with a fatal gunshot wound. Even though Washington was already behind bars for unrelated charges, detective work led by JSO Homicide Unit detectives pointed to him as the prime suspect in Oyenarte's death.
Further details unfold that during the course of the homicide investigation, evidence was meticulously reviewed, which culminated in Washington's additional arrest while he remained incarcerated.
