The Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) has effected a substantial drug bust, resulting in 19 arrests after carrying out a search warrant at a residence known for illegal activity. The bust unfolded in the 3900 block of Bud McMillan Road, propelled by numerous nuisance complaints, traffic stops involving residents, and multiple overdose incidents. WVLT News reported that from among the 19 detained, 18 have been identified, with ages ranging from 20 to 66, painting a stark picture of the drugs' pervasive reach across generations.

Upon executing the warrant, KCSO's SWAT and narcotics teams discovered 17 individuals scattered within the home and a shed on the property, while the remaining two were apprehended at a nearby Shell gas station. Illicit substances seized during the raid included methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with various drug paraphernalia such as pipes, syringes, and scales. According to WATE, the search also revealed "evidence consistent with drug distribution" like baggies, packaging material, and digital scales.

Charges levied against the arrested individuals span possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell, and maintaining a dwelling for drug use. KCSO stated that charges for sex offender registration violations are also pending. In a statement shared by WBIR, the sheriff's office highlighted the operation’s alignment with ongoing efforts to curtail drug activity and safeguard public safety within Knox County.
