Larimer County, along with the City of Fort Collins and the City of Loveland, is on a mission to understand and address housing needs, calling on residents to add their voices to the conversation. As part of this effort, a Regional Housing Needs Assessment is underway, with an invitation extended to the public to engage via a 15-minute survey, aiming to draw a comprehensive picture of the housing landscape, according to Larimer County.
In their quest to collect broad community input, official spokespeople have announced opportunities for direct engagement through informational open houses scheduled for October 9th at the Old Town Library and October 10th at the Loveland Public Library, these gatherings are intended to allow residents the chance to learn more about the study, and to express their views on what they believe are the most important housing needs within their neighborhoods, a crucial step in shaping the housing strategies for the region.
With housing affordability and supply a critical issue for many across the nation, Larimer County's initiative reflects an increasing urgency for local solutions. Community participation is seen as an essential element in creating a responsive and effective housing plan that addresses diverse needs. This assessment could play a pivotal role in informing policy and resource allocation in the coming years.
