In a recent social media post, the Lewisville Police Department clarified the situation, assuring locals that the gathering of first responders is scheduled for a benign reason.
According to the post from Lewisville Police Department on Facebook, the upcoming event is simply a photo op: "If you notice a police and fire presence tomorrow (September 17, 2025) at Lewisville High School (Main Campus) around 5:15 p.m., please don’t be alarmed. Our first responders are simply gathering for a group photo opportunity. There is no emergency and no cause for concern."
The post goes on to express gratitude towards the community for its ongoing support of their police officers and firefighters. The notification has been a preemptive measure to preempt expected concerns or misinformation that may arise from witnessing an unexpected assembly of emergency services personnel and vehicles in one place.
