The streets of Lewisville just got a little safer, thanks to the local police department's recent arrest. The Lewisville Police Department announced, in a direct and to-the-point social media post, that they have captured the suspect of two aggravated robberies that shook the Corporate Drive and Southwest Parkway areas earlier this month.
Through what might be considered relentless detective work, LPD identified 19-year-old Mario Anaya as the suspect. It took a week of investigation, but on Tuesday, Anaya was apprehended without incident. Law enforcement was able to quickly and efficiently issue the BOLO and follow up with a successful arrest. They have now charged Anaya with two counts of aggravated robbery and an additional count of interference with an emergency request for assistance.
Currently held at the Lewisville Jail, his bond totals $110,000, emphasizing the severity of his alleged crimes. As he awaits the next steps in the judicial process, the authorities aren't letting up. The investigation remains active, with detectives and officers still gathering evidence and actively encouraging the public's involvement.
