The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced the winners of the 2026 stamp design contest for the state’s wild turkey, pheasant, and waterfowl stamps. These stamps are required for hunters and are also available for purchase by conservation supporters.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources release, Sam Timm of Wautoma won first place for both the wild turkey and waterfowl stamp designs. Caleb Metrich of Tomahawk received first place for the pheasant stamp design. The winners were selected on August 23 during the Wisconsin Waterfowl Expo in Oshkosh.

Judges for the contest included Tally Hamilton, Ducks Unlimited’s regional biologist; Mark Kakatsch, deputy director of the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation; and Pat Gregory, a professional decoy carver.

Revenue from stamp sales funds grassland and wetland conservation, education, and research across Wisconsin. Physical copies of the stamps are available through the DNR’s Collector Stamps webpage or at open Service Centers, while an electronic “stamp approval” is printed on hunters’ licenses at the time of purchase, as per the same release.
