
Firefighters in Los Angeles efficiently subdued a blaze in Hyde Park late on September 18th. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported a significant fire at a detached garage behind a residence at 6748 S Arlington Avenue. The incident, cited as INC#1845, was first announced at 10:10 PM, with crews encountering heavy flames upon arrival.
According to the LAFD alert, the one-story garage, set aflame behind the Hyde Park home, was quickly brought under control. Inhabiting the garage, the fire was prevented from spreading to the main house or neighboring structures by the prompt action of the firefighters. Despite the chaos that usually accompanies such incidents, no injuries were reported.
The operation required a coordinated effort from various LAFD units, including E-233, E-266, T-33, and T-66. The official knockdown announcement came just 11 minutes after the crews engaged with the fire, successfully containing it within the 1,000-square-foot structure, which originated in 1926.
