The Loudon Police Department has recently spotlighted two of its members for their professional excellence and service to the community. In a social media post on September 7, the department announced that Officer Jared Valletto was named the 2025 Loudon City Police Officer of the Year. This distinction was presented during the VFW Huff Post 5150 Annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on September 6. Recognized for his proactive approach and a significant number of arrests.
According to the Loudon Police Department's post, "Officer Jared Valletto has distinguished himself as one of the department’s most proactive officers." Meanwhile, recognized for his consistent service and commitment, Sergeant Scott Newman received the Stephen Siller Award, a gesture reflecting his faithful service to Loudon's citizens.
The awards spotlight the department’s focus on the importance of individual contributions to public safety and community service. These honors, such as the Stephen Siller Award presented to Newman, are significant as they symbolize not merely the fulfillment of duty but the aspiration of exceeding it.
Alongside Valletto, the police department’s social media post honored Sergeant Scott Newman, citing his "unwavering commitment to the citizens of Loudon" and "continued dedication to public service." Newman, who was also recognized during the same ceremony, has become another exemplar within the department for his dedicated service. The Loudon Police Department's announcement comes as a timely reminder of the significant roles these officers play, often under challenging and high-pressure circumstances.
