Lufthansa Airlines will expand its St. Louis to Frankfurt service to five flights per week during the summer of 2026. The schedule, beginning June 1 and ending October 20, will include flights on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, according to Spectrum News report.
The expansion follows high demand, with Lufthansa reporting a 94% load factor on the route in the summer of 2024, KSDK reported. Since its launch in June 2022, the service has consistently operated with strong passenger numbers.
Before Lufthansa’s service began, St. Louis Lambert International Airport had not offered nonstop flights to Europe since 2003, when American Airlines discontinued its London route. WOW Air briefly offered service to Iceland from 2018 until early 2019, when it ceased operations.
Despite the added flights in summer, Lufthansa will not operate the service in February, citing seasonal aircraft rotation. The airline continues to link St. Louis travelers to its larger international network, which includes 300 destinations across more than 100 countries through the Lufthansa Group, as per FOX2Now.
