A shooting in Philadelphia’s Harrowgate section left a man critically injured after an argument turned violent. According to 6abc, the incident occurred just after midnight yesteday on the 2000 block of Pickwick Street, where a confrontation between a 31-year-old man and a group escalated into gunfire.
Police found the wounded man sitting on his porch. FOX 29 reports he was taken to Temple University Hospital and remains in critical condition. The suspects fled, but police say the alleged shooter was arrested nearby shortly after the incident.
Two 9mm shell casings and a weapon were recovered at the scene. NBC Philadelphia states the motive for the shooting has not been determined.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage to clarify the events leading to the incident. The suspect is in custody, but police have not released the person’s identity or further details about the dispute.
