The search intensifies for Jose Osman Aguilar Cantillano, the suspect identified in the deadly shooting at Alas Locos Sports Bar in Liberty County. According to KHOU, two people lost their lives and four others were injured during the incident that took place on Sunday. The Liberty County Sheriff's Office confirmed the victims as Alexis Jasso, 30, pronounced dead at the scene, and Francisco Navarrete, 43, who later succumbed to injuries at an area hospital.

Following the shooting, investigators learned that Cantillano previously had been drinking at the bar and returned to open fire at around 2:30 a.m. The suspect lives near the establishment and had reportedly paid for drinks in cash earlier that night. As the manhunt to swiftly locate him continues, Cantillano's wife, Alejandra Marie Valdez Montoya, was arrested on charges of tampering with evidence after a search warrant was executed at their home, per the same KHOU report.

The four other individuals injured in the shooting, none sustaining life-threatening injuries, were treated at a hospital and have since been released. Their names, as released by officials, are Sandra Patricia Vazquez Adrian, Aldegundo Alvarez Trujillo, Jose Rafael Sanchez, and Andres Gonzalez. They sustained injuries to areas such as the hand, shoulder, and leg, as detailed by KHOU.

The Liberty County Sheriff's Office believes that Cantillano might try to escape towards New Orleans, Louisiana, or Atlanta, Georgia, traveling in a white full-size construction-style van. Surveillance footage captured the van, which has distinct features including no side windows and visible external damage. In a statement obtained by KHOU, a witness described the community's reaction to the violence: "It could have been one of us [me or my husband]," said Yahaira Guadarrama. "And it hurts because it's not just friends, it's somebody that I know if anything happens we are like I got your back, if you need anything, let me know."

Law enforcement is actively seeking tips from the public on Cantillano’s whereabouts and encourages those with information to contact the Liberty County Sheriff's Office at 936-336-4500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-392-7867. Additional details about the ongoing investigation and the community's response can be found on the websites of KHOU and Click2Houston.
