Manhunt Underway in Madison County for Three Inmates Who Escaped Local Jail

An ongoing search in Madison County following the escape of three inmates from the local jail yesterday morning. The Madison County Sheriff's Office has mounted an intense manhunt after Dillon Decker, a 32-year-old with a rap sheet that includes aggravated assault and drug possession, Brandon Forbes, 43, with a violation of parole, and Cameron Deshaun Campbell, 23, booked for theft, drug possession, and felony weapon possession managed to break free from the jail's recreational yard, as reported by Action News 5.

It was during the early morning light that the break was first discovered, and it is believed that in the wake of their escape a utility truck was purloined, possibly by Decker as indicated in a statement obtained by Local Memphis, though no confirmation could be secured at the time of reporting, the authorities, casting a wide net, issued a warning not to approach the individuals but to reach out to law enforcement directly if one catches a sight of them.

A reward is now on the table for information that could lead to the capture of the escapees. The Madison County Sheriff's Office emphasizes that the escaped individuals could potentially pose a risk to public safety — with Fox 13 Memphis echoing the advisory against public interaction with the fugitives.

Community members are urged to remain vigilant and to report any relevant information, "do not approach them," but "call 911 immediately or contact the city of Jackson, Tennessee, Police Department at 731-425-8400 with any information," as per the Madison County Sheriff's Office's instructions, Action News 5 noted.
