The Maui Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public to locate 57-year-old David Houghton, a resident of Kihei, reported missing since yesterday. Houghton was last seen on the previous day around 4:30 p.m. near Hoano Place in Kihei.
According to an announcement by the Maui Police Department, friends of Mr. Houghton reported him missing after he did not come home and failed in attempts to establish contact through his cell phone. Mr. Houghton is known to drive a green 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe with the Hawaii license plate LFA 384.
Describing the missing person, authorities detailed that Houghton is Caucasian, stands about 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs approximately 220 pounds. Featuring blond hair and blue eyes, he was wearing a grey T-shirt accompanied by white shorts during the time he was last sighted on Sunday.
The police are urging anyone with potentially relevant information to step forward to aid the investigation into Mr. Houghton’s disappearance. Anyone who might have seen Houghton or his vehicle since Sunday is, they are requested to contact the Maui Police Department's non-emergency number at 808-244-6400. As an added measure for critical leads, individuals may dial 911, referring to MPD report number 25-026380 in case of emergencies.
