
On Thursday, the Memphis Police Department responded to an urgent call involving an attempted carjacking. According to their report, the incident unfolded on the 4200 block of Raleigh Millington Road at approximately 8:55 p.m. A man who had just finished fueling his vehicle was confronted by two assailants demanding his car keys at gunpoint.
Despite the imminent threat, the victim engaged in a scuffle with one of the suspects. Managing to break free, he swiftly got into his vehicle and sped away from the danger zone. As he retreated, one of the suspects discharged a firearm, striking the victim's vehicle with a single bullet. Following the gunfire, each perpetrator took off in opposite directions.
The description of the suspects has been released by the authorities. The Memphis Police Department's news release details that the first suspect is a Black male, seen wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt with white lettering, black pants, a ski mask, and white shoes. His accomplice, also a Black male, sported a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the front paired with black pants and shoes, but did not hide his face with a mask.
