
Yesterday morning, a Subway restaurant in Memphis fell victim to burglary. The Memphis Police Department reported a break-in at the Subway located at 3439 Austin Peay Highway. According to the official announcement, a Black male forcibly entered the eatery using a crowbar to smash the front glass door around 7:19 a.m.
The suspect entered the location and quickly moved behind the counter, taking the cash drawer before fleeing in a dark-colored Honda sedan. Police responded to the incident nearly three hours later, at approximately 10:00 a.m., as stated in a Memphis Police Department release.
Memphis authorities are actively working to identify and apprehend the individual involved and are requesting help from the community. Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to share tips by contacting Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274).
