The incident occurred last Thursday around 8:55 p.m. on Raleigh Millington Road near Harriet Road. According to police, a male victim was confronted by two assailants as he finished fueling his car. The suspects, one brandishing a handgun, demanded the car keys.

The situation escalated when the victim engaged in a physical altercation with one of the suspects, per the details provided by FOX13 Memphis. As the victim managed to break free and drive away, one of the suspects fired a shot at the fleeing vehicle. The suspects then departed from the scene on foot, splitting up.

Police have issued descriptions of the two individuals involved: the first suspect was said to be donning a pink hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the hood, black pants, a black ski mask, and white shoes. His accomplice wore a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the front, black pants, and black shoes; this man was not wearing a mask. 

MPD has made a call for tips and information that can assist in their search. "Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (901) 528-CASH," informed an officer in a statement obtained by Local Memphis 24. Law enforcement continues its investigation, relying on community support to track down the individuals responsible for assaulting the peaceful fabric of public spaces.
