Four educators from Memphis Shelby-County Schools have been spotlighted for their dedication and have received monetary awards, as covered by a recent announcement. The awards aimed to show appreciation for their commitment to educating the next generation.

Among the recipients is Tameka Boyce, an English teacher at Fairley High School, who was granted $1,000 by a joint effort from the AutoZone Liberty Bowl and the CFP Foundation. This acknowledgment is not only a boost for Boyce but also a potential benefit for the students who will see the direct effect of the added resources and learning opportunities in their classroom. Boyce, with a teaching career spanning 19 years, is a Whitehaven High School graduate and has been a part of the Fairley community for nearly a decade.

Reflecting on the award, "That was really exciting for me to walk in and have this presented to me," Ms. Boyce told MSCS. Her recognition was part of the “Big Day for Teachers” initiative that spotlighted standout educators in conjunction with Extra Yard for Teachers Week, a broader campaign by the college football community to celebrate educational excellence nationwide.
