A Haltom City resident, a 52-year-old Middle Eastern man who went missing last Saturday, has been located. An update from the Haltom City Police Department conveyed that mere minutes after the initial missing person social media post was made, Cpl. Michlitsch, who had been involved in the investigation, happened to spot the missing man near the local library while driving home. "Good eyes Corporal!" the department exclaimed in a social media update acknowledging the fortunate turn of events. The prompt resolution brought relief to concerned family and friends.
The man disappeared from his residence in the 5200 block of Heritage Street around noon, prompting an alert from the police after his family had raised concerns later in the evening. Known to require a cane to walk, he was last seen dressed in a pink t-shirt and brown or khaki shorts. His vehicle was left behind, indicating the likelihood that he had left on foot. Friends and family were anxious as it was out of character for him to be gone without contact for such a period. Attempts to reach him by phone were to no avail, with calls going directly to voicemail.
The police urged anyone with information to make contact at 817-222-7000 – a call for assistance that was, fortunately, rendered quickly successful by the corporal's observation.
