A Montebello business owner has been slapped with multiple felony counts after law enforcement officials alleged he knowingly sold stolen goods, lifted from a train during a burglary this summer. Dojoon Park, who ran local storefronts DJ General Tool and Wire, was arraigned on charges related to the sale of over $5 million in stolen merchandise, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office confirmed.

Park, with the date of birth listed as April 29, 1983, is staring down the barrel of six felony counts for receipt of stolen property worth over $950. In a turn of events that underscores the scale of an alleged criminal operation, prosecutors have tacked on allegations of losses of over half a million dollars. Park pleaded not guilty to these charges, as stated in an announcement by the DA's office.

Authorities uncovered the cache of stolen goods, which included a variety of consumer products like tools, household appliances, and e-bikes, after Union Pacific special agents noted a burglarized train car in Long Beach in July 2025. The trail led to Park's businesses based in Montebello and Huntington Park, where the merchandise had been sold both in-store and online. "Cargo theft is not a victimless crime," Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman highlighted. "The stolen merchandise enters our commerce and affects real businesses and real employees," the DA's office noted.

At his arraignment, Park was ordered held in custody with bail set at $225,000, subject to verification that the funds were not derived from criminal activity. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 19 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center. If convicted on all charges, he faces up to 11 years in state prison.
