Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) is rolling out a series of service adjustments this fall. According to Mountain Metropolitan Transit, changes are set to begin on September 28, aiming to enhance rider experience and connectivity across the city's transit routes, as detailed by the City of Colorado Springs.
Key updates include a new stop for Route 3 on Manitou Avenue at the Dillon Mobility Hub, strategically located to serve Manitou Springs better. Weekenders can also look forward to more options, as Route 9 is getting an extension to a new endpoint, just in time for those weekend getaways. Meanwhile, Route 32 undergoes a timepoint tweak, promising smoother transfers with Fountain Municipal Transit, a blessing for commuters pinching for every precious minute of their day.
Passengers frequenting Route 33, take note: expect a reshuffle. New stops are popping up, while some familiar ones will be bidding adieu. Seasonal demand is driving a frequency surge during peak times and a downtick during off-peak periods, reflecting the ebb and flow of riders' lives. For those traversing on Routes 34, 38, and 39, additional stops are cropping up, providing more pit stops along your daily journey, and Route 39's timepoint adjustment promises timelier travels.
