Motorists in Kitty Hawk will soon have a new destination for their vehicle-related errands, according to an announcement by the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles. Starting on Thursday, a new license plate agency (LPA) will be open for business in the area. The fresh facility, located at 3809 N. Croatan Hwy., Unit F in the Sea Dunes Shoppes, will offer a range of services from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., running Monday through Friday, with closures only on state holidays.
Operating under the guidance of NCDMV, though not directly managed by the state entity, the LPA will become part of a broader network of 130 agencies scattered across North Carolina. Managed by Josh Bass and Denise Hall, the new Kitty Hawk LPA is expected to provide the essential amenities to residents, such as vehicle registration services, title transactions, along with renewals and replacements of vehicle license plates including the popular “OBX” plates. As reported by NCDOT, the facility will also accommodate needs for handicap placards and duplicate registrations.
The new Kitty Hawk LPA will open in two days to help motor vehicle owners access services more efficiently. This agency operates under NCDMV standards, providing streamlined assistance for tasks like obtaining an “OBX” plate or managing other vehicle-related needs.
