
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a fatal shooting that followed an alleged altercation in uptown Charlotte’s French Quarter area. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon on the 100 block of Brevard Court, according to Queen City News. Witnesses reported that a dispute outside a restaurant escalated when one person fired multiple shots at another.
Police confirmed that one suspect is in custody. WBTV reported that one person has died following a shooting.
WCNC stated that an emergency response call came in around 2 p.m. Medic teams provided aid to the victim, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or homicide detectives directly at 704-432-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward.
