Celebrating the 25-year milestone of that pivotal season, the jerseys are meant to rekindle the spirit of an era, defined by the likes of Allen Iverson and Dikembe Mutombo.
Eric Snow, a key guard from the era, shared his sentiment, "Some of my favorite memories came when I was wearing this uniform. I enjoyed every moment of playing for my childhood team. This uniform represented the connection of players with the city and 76ers fans. Although we didn't accomplish our ultimate goal, I'm still thankful for the time I played in the 76ers uniform. Even now, I still meet people wherever I go who speak about the passion they had for our team and that run," he told 6abc.
True to form, the uniforms will debut against historical rivals, the Toronto Raptors, on November 8 and will appear in selected home and away games, specifically against playoff contenders from the 2000-01 season, as detailed by 6abc. The design remains faithful to the original with only a few modern tweaks.
