A routine traffic stop in Brentwood turned into a significant bust for local police, leading to the arrest of a Pittsburg man on multiple charges, including narcotics possession, mail theft, and identity theft. The City of Brentwood Police Department reported via a social media post that on Sunday, a traffic stop led to the arrest of 36-year-old Adam Lew of Pittsburg.

During the stop, Lew was found without a valid driver's license, and officers spotted drug paraphernalia in the pocket of the driver's door. A subsequent search of both Lew and his vehicle unearthed suspected narcotics, more drug paraphernalia, counterfeit postal keys, and stolen checks in the process of being forged. Amongst these checks, at least one was confirmed to have been stolen in mid-August from Folsom.

Lew now faces a slate of charges; he has been booked into jail for possession of stolen property, forgery, and identity theft.
