A Pittsburgh-area father, Michael Woods Jr., has been charged with a misdemeanor for boarding a school bus and confronting children he suspected of bullying his daughter. As reported by WTAE, Woods allegedly entered the bus on August 29, proceeding to swear and demand the identities of his daughter's bullies.

Police said that surveillance footage captured Woods Jr. getting onto the bus in Carnegie, near the intersection of Main and Chestnut Streets, according to a CBS News Pittsburgh report. Overlooking the bus driver, he can be seen on the video walking down the aisle before he began yelling at a group of students. Woods eventually left the bus after failing to get an answer.

The Carlynton school police filed the criminal complaint, leading to Woods Jr.'s charge of unauthorized school bus entry. Carnegie Elementary's Principal Franczyk, in discussion with law enforcement, identified Woods as the parent of a third-grade student at the school.

In a statement detailed by CBS News Pittsburgh, the Carlynton superintendent stated: "Our first priority is, and will always be, the safety and welfare of our students." While the case is still under active investigation and further specifics could not be discussed, the district emphasized its commitment to student safety and its close work with Monark Transportation Company and law enforcement to maintain strict safety measures on all district transportation.
