
Over the past weekend, Constable Mark Herman's Precinct 4 deputies arrested 13 suspected drunk drivers. Many were stopped for traffic violations, which led to sobriety checks confirming intoxication. The arrests highlight how routine stops can prevent serious dangers on the road, according to a post on the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 official Facebook page.
Roderick Banks, following the testing, was charged with his third offense of Felony DWI, illustrating the habitual nature of some driving under the influence incidents. Along with Banks, Kevin Alfaro and Oscar Perez were also stopped and now face additional charges related to racing and evasive maneuvers, respectively, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
According to the post from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 page, every intercepted driver signifies a life-or-death situation potentially averted. "Every one of these arrests represents a potentially tragic crash that was prevented," said Constable Mark Herman in the statement. Constable Mark Herman reminded the public that drunk driving isn’t just illegal—it can destroy lives. He urged everyone to make the right choice behind the wheel, saying, “Your life, your family’s life, and the lives of others on the road depend on it.”
