San Antonians brace for a stretch of sunny, warm days ahead, as the National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts an extended period of clear skies and high temperatures. According to the forecast, locals can expect the mercury to consistently hit near 96 degrees throughout the upcoming week, with light winds occasionally gusting up to 20 mph.
As residents plan their week, the NWS advises preparing for mostly sunny skies. The typical high for this time of year is expected to hover around the mid-90s, offering predictably hot September days. Evenings will bring little reprieve, with low temperatures to only gradually dip down into the low 70s. South to southeast winds at 5 to 15 mph will give some semblance of a breeze, but it's advised to adequately keep hydrated and avoid to directly expose yourself to midday sun for prolonged periods.
The start of the week will not stray from this pattern, as Monday is anticipated to be sunny with a high once again near 96 degrees. And come nightfall, the sky is expected to largely remain clear, offering perhaps ideal conditions for those who enjoy stargazing, with lows around 72 degrees.
Sustaining this sequence of conditions, Tuesday's temperatures are set to rise to near 96 degrees under sunny skies, with light northeast winds turning east southeast in the afternoon. The evening will then morph into partly cloudy conditions, providing some visual variety to the constant sunshine and giving San Antonians a low around 73 degrees to cool off in.
Midweek forecasts show little change in this September weather pattern. Wednesday is projected to be mostly sunny with a high near 95 degrees, with winds continuing to follow a familiar east northeast direction before switching to southeast later in the day.
